Precious One English School Launches CSQ English Proficiency Metric and Japan Within Cultural Certification

In June 2026, Precious One English School will launch two new English and cultural education programs.

The first is 'CSQ' (Culture Switching Quotient), a B2B English assessment metric that visualizes 'context-switching'—the ability to adapt English usage to specific situations—which TOEIC scores fail to capture. The second is 'Japan Within,' a Japanese cultural certification program designed to help Japanese people confidently discuss their own culture in English.

## About CSQ
Memorizing correct expressions and using them appropriately in context are entirely different skills. In meetings, casual chat with clients, or email tone, CSQ visualizes this 'switching ability' on the day of the test. It allows users to confront the root cause of why business negotiations with overseas clients may fail despite high TOEIC scores.

Current status: Trademark pending (June 2026), seeking pilot partners, B2B beta testing scheduled to begin in September 2026.

## About Japan Within
'Japan Within' is a Japanese cultural certification program aimed at helping Japanese people speak confidently about their own culture, history, and daily life in English. It uses a quiz format across five fields—History, Folklore, Daily Life, Communication, and Entertainment—and is designed to progress through different levels.

Current status: Trademark pending (June 2026), online quiz app under preparation, official certification exam scheduled for 2027.

Investment in English training by Japanese companies is increasing every year, yet issues like 'inability to use English in the field' and 'inability to answer questions about Japan in English' persist. CSQ and Japan Within were created to fill these gaps in existing evaluation metrics.
