Calligraphy Artist Ai Takaoka Announces 20th Anniversary Exhibition 'Awakening ~ new-type'

Ai Takaoka is a 'Calligraphy and Sound' artist born in Kyoto. She has 47 years of experience in calligraphy and over 20 years as an instructor. After surviving a life-threatening mental illness, she found salvation in calligraphy and dedicated her life to creating works that provide 'courage and hope to people worldwide.' Her original performances, which blend calligraphy, sound, and kimono, have received high acclaim both in Japan and internationally. To date, she has taught calligraphy to more than 10,000 students. Moving forward, she will officially launch her global activities, focusing on the United States, France, and Italy.
