Asics Trading, Nippon Television Network, and R-bies are jointly organizing the urban walking event "Sunrise to Sunset Walk 2026" in Tokyo on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Rediscover the charm of Tokyo with a new course this year!
This event is an urban walking event themed "#WalkingIsAnAdventure," and this year marks its third edition.
In addition to the "42.195km Walk," which covers the same distance as a full marathon, and the "21.0975km Walk," which is the same distance as a half marathon, a new "12km Walk" has been established.
We aim to provide a special experience that transforms "walking" into an "adventure" for self-challenge and rediscovering the charm of Tokyo. In the second event held in 2025, approximately 2,000 walkers gathered, and about 90% of participants responded with "satisfaction."
Similar to last year, the event will start from Shibuya Scramble Square, which houses the "SHIBUYA SKY" observation facility 229m above Shibuya, and the finish line will be at "KIRANAH GARDEN Toyosu." The course, which tours famous spots in Tokyo, has also been partially revamped to discover even more attractions. Areas rich in history and atmosphere, such as Daikanyama, have been newly incorporated (details of the course will be sequentially released on the official website at a later date).
Furthermore, although the course is fixed, participants are free to make detours after passing through aid stations, making it possible to enjoy Tokyo sightseeing such as eating and walking at spots near the course.
After finishing, an after-party will be held, offering food and drink, and care booths to soothe fatigue. We provide a moment to reflect while savoring the afterglow of the day's "adventure."
