The Higashimikawa Prefectural Government will host the "Higashimikawa Esports Challenge 2026" tournament, an event centered around esports, which is gaining popularity among young people as a competitive sport for the 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi-Nagoya) to be held this year. The event will take place over two days, August 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), 2026, at Hotel Arc Riche Toyohashi.
This event will feature various content, including tournaments for the esports events of the 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi-Nagoya), an esports experience session that beginners can easily participate in, and seminars by professional esports athletes. Furthermore, a program will be held for elementary school students to experience jobs in the esports industry, such as commentary, streaming, and tournament operations. In addition, special guests, including top professional esports athletes, are scheduled to appear at each program.

An enjoyment tournament will be held for "Puyo Puyo Esports"*3, which is fun even for beginners. In collaboration with the Toyohashi City Children's Future Museum Kokokoro, a job experience program related to esports, such as tournament operations, commentary, and streaming, will also be held for elementary school students.

<Higashimikawa Charm Promotion Event>
Events will be held to promote the charms of the Higashimikawa region, including booth exhibitions by tourism organizations in the Higashimikawa region, food truck sales by Higashimikawa Dai-su Kitchen Cars*5 (in front of the south exit of Toyohashi Station), and a stamp rally to tour the Higashimikawa region that can be enjoyed even after the event.
