The animation production will be handled by Studio SHAFT.

Alongside this announcement, the latest teaser visual has been released.

The original manga 'To You, the Gender "Mona Lisa"' has surpassed 1 million copies in total circulation. Set in a world where individuals begin physically transitioning toward their desired gender around age 12 and are fully assigned male or female by age 14, the story follows Hinase, the only character who remains 'genderless' even at 18, as she confronts her identity and first love in this coming-of-age ensemble drama.

Studio SHAFT, an acclaimed animation studio celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, will bring the series to life. Known for its distinctive visual style and direction in acclaimed works such as 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica', the 'Monogatari Series', and 'March Comes in Like a Lion', SHAFT will beautifully animate the delicate and vivid world of this story.

With the TV anime announcement, the first teaser visual has been unveiled. Additionally, original creator Shun Yoshimura has delivered a newly drawn commemorative illustration and a celebratory comment.

### Synopsis

In this world, humans are born without gender.
