Awa Odori Workshop to be held in Kansai!

Tokushima Prefecture Kansai Headquarters will hold free Awa Odori experience workshops at five locations in Kansai. Participants can dance as "Niwaka-ren" at the Tokushima City Awa Odori. The event is organized by Tokushima Prefecture and supported by the Kansai Awa Odori Association.

In order to let people experience the joy of Awa Odori, one of Japan's three major Bon Festival dances, and to spread the harmony (wa) between people through dance in Kansai, we will hold "Awa Odori Workshops."

1 Schedule

(1) Osaka Venue - Date and time: ① July 12 (Sun) 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM / ② July 25 (Sat) 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Location: Osaka Municipal Oyodo Community Center (Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) - Instructor: Naniwa-ren

(2) Sakai Venue - Date and time: June 21 (Sun) 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Location: Fenice Sakai (Sakai-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture) - Instructor: Minamiosaka-ren

(3) Kobe Venue - Date and time: July 4 (Sat) 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Location: Kobe City Nagata Ward Cultural Center (Nagata-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) - Instructor: Kobe Nanko-ren

(4) Kyoto Venue - Date and time: July 18 (Sat) 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Location: Kyoto City Kuretake Cultural Center (Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) - Instructor: Osaka Tensui-ren

(5) Nara Venue - Date and time: July 19 (Sun) 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Location: Nara City Naramachi Center (Nara City, Nara Prefecture) - Instructor: Daibutsu-ren *No musical instrument experience at the Nara venue.
