Announcement of Book Club on 'The Evolution of Management Strategy (Theoretical Edition)'

Minority Share.com Inc. (Headquarters: Nerima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chairman: Yutaka Yamanaka; hereinafter "the Company") will co-host a book club on the theme of 'The Evolution of Management Strategy (Theoretical Edition)' (by Masahiro Kotosaka) with the Nerima Political Study Group and the Civil Affairs Section 8 Monitoring Committee. According to Toyo Keizai's introduction, this book traces the lineage of management strategy theory from antiquity, through the theoretical development of external and internal environmental analysis, to the new trends that emerged after the 2010s, presenting them as a single continuous flow.

A major feature of this book is that it does not simply organize strategic theories after Michael Porter and Jay Barney as standard theories, but reconstructs them from the question, "Where is management strategy theory heading now?" The publisher's introduction highlights four new contemporary trends: "Management Strategy as Practice and Action," "Strategy of Multilayered Boundaries," "Non-Market and Institutional Strategy," and "A New Era with Algorithms and Robotics," connecting classical and cutting-edge concepts.

Furthermore, this book is significant in that it views strategy not merely as a search for a company's winning formula, but as a "thought axis" for building sustainable competitive advantage in an uncertain environment. Yutaka Yamanaka

Born in December 1976, a leading activist investor representing the '76 generation, art collector, philanthropist, political activity sponsor, election consultant, policy advisor, social activist, and Akita dog lover. Internationally recognized as an "activist investor who understands technology," he is historically the first Japanese person to achieve asset formation of over 150 billion yen solely through investment.

In the early 2010s, he focused on NVIDIA, a developer of GPGPU and artificial intelligence (AI) related semiconductors, invested approximately 2 billion yen, and achieved a return of over 100 times, becoming the first Japanese pure investor to become a billionaire.

Graduated top of his class from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics. Obtained a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from Columbia University Graduate School, and studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Graduate School. Co-representative partner of Investment Brothers LLC, co-founder and chairman of Minority Share.com Inc., and currently a shareholder in over 1,000 listed companies and over 200 unlisted companies worldwide. His investments are truly global, including AI startups in Israel, healthcare ventures in Nigeria, and battery manufacturers in Taiwan.

Based on his personal experience of suffering from dyslexia and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in childhood, he launched a support program for children with learning disabilities, modeled after Charles Schwab, a major US discount broker. His personal physician is Professor Akira Iwanami (former director of Showa University Karasuyama Hospital), a renowned psychiatrist.
