Odawara City will begin accepting donations for the nationwide municipal tax donation program's shared reward, "Send a Message on a Local Commemorative Strap," starting July 1 (Wed), featuring donor messages displayed inside vehicles on the Daiyuzan Line.
Odawara City Local Commemorative Strap – Message Side
Donors can display messages of support for the region, personal notes to family, or commemorative occasion greetings on the "local commemorative strap," which will be exhibited inside operating Daiyuzan Line train cars for approximately 14 days. Designed with the motif of the "Odawara Chochin" lantern—a signature regional cultural asset—the strap stands out prominently within train cars. During periods when donor messages are not displayed, the straps will be used to promote tourism and other information about the city.
This new reward initiative is a collaborative effort between Odawara City, the neighboring municipality of Minamiashigara City, and the Daiyuzan Line (operated by Izu-Hakone Railway Co., Ltd.), a vital regional transportation infrastructure. The program will be jointly offered as a shared municipal tax donation reward between Odawara and Minamiashigara Cities, aiming to transcend municipal boundaries and promote regional charm and revitalization along the entire railway corridor.
