Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture (Mayor: Katsuei Miyabashi) is pleased to announce the launch of a special tour of the Komatsu "Awazu Factory" as a new reward for Furusato Nozei donations. This experiential reward, unique to Komatsu City, allows participants to tour the factory interior, which is not usually open to the public, and see the construction machinery production lines up close.
Komatsu Seisakusho Awazu Factory
Background
Komatsu City is known as a "city of manufacturing," the birthplace of "Komatsu" (Komatsu Ltd.), a manufacturer of construction and mining machinery. While the city has previously offered rewards centered on "things" such as agricultural products and crafts, this time, in cooperation with the Komatsu Awazu Factory, we have planned a factory tour as an "experience" reward that allows participants to experience the region's industrial resources firsthand.
This is an extremely valuable opportunity to see the production lines of four products – bulldozers, hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, and motor graders – up close within the factory, which is normally off-limits to anyone other than employees. Targeting families during the summer vacation period, we aim to promote the appeal of Komatsu City's industry nationwide.

Photography is generally prohibited inside the factory (except in some permitted areas).
Participants are requested to wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.

For other detailed information, please check the reward product page.
Future Developments
Komatsu City will continue to develop experiential rewards in collaboration with local industries and businesses, leveraging its strength as a "city of manufacturing." Our aim is to create a base of supporters who will continue to support the city by deepening their understanding of Komatsu City's industries and culture through their donations, rather than simply providing rewards.
