Ogawa Coffee to Launch Canadian Coffee Ware Brand ICOSA Brewhouse in Japan

Ogawa Coffee Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ukyo-ku, Kyoto; President and CEO: Yoshinori Uda) announced that it will begin selling the coffee ware brand ICOSA Brewhouse in Japan on May 15, 2026, as the brand’s exclusive Japanese distributor. ICOSA Brewhouse is a coffee ware brand from Canada. Founded by three friends who love coffee, the brand develops products that combine beauty and functionality with the aim of maximizing the coffee experience after brewing. In recent years, the specialty coffee market has placed growing emphasis not only on brewing techniques and ingredient quality, but also on approaches that meet diversifying consumer needs. One such focus is the value of the drinking experience itself. For its Japan rollout, Ogawa Coffee will launch the glassware products “ICOSA Avensi Classic” and “ICOSA Avensi Wave,” designed to bring out aroma and flavor in a more three-dimensional way, as well as the “ICOSA ARCTIC Cold Brew System,” a cold brew coffee maker equipped with a fine microfilter. “ICOSA Avensi Classic” won the Specialty Coffee Association’s Best New Product Award in 2021, while “ICOSA Avensi Wave” received the same award in 2025. Both lines are designed to help users better enjoy coffee aroma, flavor, and the way flavor expands as temperature changes over time. The Avensi Classic line includes three glasses: ALTO, designed for light-roast coffee; SENTI, suited to medium-to-dark roasts; and VIDA, a tulip-shaped glass suitable for a wide range of coffees regardless of roast level. Each is priced at a suggested retail price of 8,000 yen before tax, while the three-piece complete set is priced at 20,000 yen before tax. The Avensi Wave series uses a proprietary ridge design to create fine bubbles during swirling, enhancing coffee aroma through aeration. Products include the AERESSO Espresso Cup, ALTO Tasting Cup, and Cyclone Sensory Carafe in Standard and Small sizes, with suggested retail prices ranging from 4,500 yen to 6,000 yen before tax. The release timing for the Small carafe is yet to be determined. The ICOSA ARCTIC Cold Brew System is a cold brew coffee maker with a reusable stainless-steel filter. It uses rust-resistant 18/8 stainless steel with a refined shine and a precision laser-cut micron filter, enabling smooth cold brew extraction. The carafe is made from individually crafted hand-blown glass. It has a capacity of 1600ml and a suggested retail price of 15,000 yen before tax. ICOSA Brewhouse is a Canadian drinkware brand founded by three coffee-loving friends, offering beautiful and functional products that enhance the coffee drinking experience.
