## Special Exhibition: "Half a Century of Tsushima's Creatures"

Tsushima is a unique island where creatures with diverse histories thrive due to its geographical conditions. Diverse new species and subspecies have been discovered here.

Tsushima Museum is hosting a special exhibition to introduce the environmental changes that have occurred to Tsushima's creatures over the past half-century, as well as advancements in biology and taxonomy.

### Exhibition Highlights

2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of the academic research report "Tsushima's Living Things" by the Nagasaki Prefecture Biological Society. While this half-century has yielded various research results, many species have seen their populations decrease, while others have significantly increased. In this exhibition, in addition to the museum's collection, we will exhibit numerous rare specimen materials of insects, birds, and mammals borrowed from various research institutions and researchers.

- Admission: General/University Students 500 yen (Free for high school students and below, 110 yen discount for Tsushima residents)
