Awa Jutaku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative Director: Nobuhiro Kawana), which provides total housing support mainly in the southern part of Chiba Prefecture, will hold its 2026 summer internship program "Work and Hobby 1-day Experience."

This program started in fiscal year 2025, and the highly popular "SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Experience" will be held for the fifth time.

■ Background: Finding "a reason to live in this town" before work

In local recruitment, Awa Jutaku values not only "differentiation from other companies." We believe that when students consider their future, their lifestyle—"where they live and what kind of life they lead"—is as important as the job content.

With the desire to "have them become fans of the region first if they are considering relocation," we have intentionally designed a program that allows them to experience the charm of the region firsthand before focusing on work.

■ Unique System: "Supporting" rather than evaluating, accompaniment support by recruiters

A major feature of our recruitment activities is the placement of "recruiters" who become the students' "biggest allies," separate from the hiring managers.

Recruiters are not in a position to evaluate students but are partners who encourage each other to "work hard together!" They provide support during the internship, as well as follow-up interviews before the second and final interviews, embodying the stance of "being together" throughout the selection process to ensure each student can build a career they are satisfied with.

■ Participant Voices: Actually envisioning "a future working in a rural area" and receiving job offers

Last year's participants (now prospective employees) shared insights they had not gained through traditional job hunting.

【Feedback from past participants (now prospective employees)】

"It clearly conveyed that I can balance hobbies and work in Minamiboso. It gave me a great opportunity to think about a good future, as I had only envisioned a work-centric future in Tokyo."
