The 'Utsunomiya History and Culture Digital Museum,' an online museum dedicated to connecting the history and culture of Utsunomiya to the future through digital power, has officially opened. We invite you to explore the site, which features high-definition images and 3D models of valuable historical and cultural resources remaining in Utsunomiya, as well as an immersive VR experience of the former Shinohara Family Residence, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.

Furthermore, to commemorate the 130th anniversary of Utsunomiya City's municipal organization in April 2026, the digital museum is planning an exhibition titled 'Memories of Utsunomiya,' which will feature black-and-white photos taken within the city that have been colorized using the latest digital technology. We welcome submissions of black-and-white photos from your personal collections.
