The "Machi-ju Evangelion" event, which began in Reiwa 3 (2021) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the city's incorporation, has grown into a signature event for our city, attracting fans from across Japan and around the world through its annual staging.

Starting in Reiwa 8 (2026), the event will be renamed "Ube Machi-ju Evangelion 2026" and will evolve to a new stage, leveraging the accumulated experience to date.
