Ube City, Yamaguchi to Host 'UBE URBAN SPORTS FES 2026' Featuring 48 Pro 3x3 Teams

On Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, Ube City in Yamaguchi Prefecture will host the citizen-participatory urban sports event 'UBE URBAN SPORTS FES 2026'. Marking its 4th iteration this year, the festival previously attracted approximately 10,000 visitors in a single day who enjoyed various urban sports activities.

To commemorate the 105th anniversary of Ube City's municipal organization, this year's main event will feature the 'ALL CONFERENCE' where all 48 men's and women's teams from the professional 3x3 basketball league '3x3.EXE PREMIER' will gather. This is a massive event, as all 48 teams congregate only twice during the 2026 season. Players, fans, and officials from teams based nationwide will assemble in Ube City for fierce battles to determine the league's top team.

Furthermore, the venue, Onda Sports Park, will offer a wide variety of competitions and experiential events allowing visitors to 'watch, do, and support' sports, promoting the appeal of urban sports across generations. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony featuring a greeting by Ube City Mayor Keiji Shinozaki and a traditional 'Mochimaki' (sweets throwing) to bring good fortune.

Other highlights include the breakin competition 'UBE BREAK BATTLE 2026', a 3x3 Kids Tournament, and showcase performances by '97' (Double Dutch Crew), a talented performance team with a track record of winning world championships. Visitors can also participate in urban sports experiences such as Breakin, Double Dutch, Parkour, and 'Pal-Oni' (Parkour Tag), designed to be easily accessible for beginners and young children under professional guidance.
