Nissan Automobile Technical College (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Kikuko Anan) will exhibit a customized car produced by students of Nissan Aichi Automobile Technical College at "Auto Messe in Aichi 2026." This car has garnered significant attention on SNS and various media at events such as Tokyo Auto Salon and Nostalgic2days.

This vehicle was created by third-year students of the Automotive Maintenance and Car Body Master Course (31st graduating class) as a culmination of their training in bodywork, including sheet metal.

After exhibitions in Tokyo and Kanagawa, the students received numerous accolades. At the same time, they developed a strong desire to "show the actual car, not just through a screen, to the people of their home prefecture, Aichi," and "further liven up the automotive culture from their home region of Aichi through the vehicle they created."

Due to the students' passion for their hometown and numerous requests received through past exhibitions and SNS asking for a display in Aichi, this exhibition has finally come to fruition.

■ About the Exhibition Vehicle
'Re30 Skyline Silhouette' - Production Period: 2.5 months

Students were attracted to the brand power of the Skyline and the "Skyline Super Silhouette" that dominated the 1980s racing scene. In an era where sedans have become less common, they took on the challenge of creating the "Re30 Skyline Silhouette" with the concept of "bringing back the super silhouette from that time." They adopted a 4-door sedan of the 1980s representative Skyline (R30) as the base vehicle, aiming to achieve the powerful Super Silhouette in a practical 4-door form.

The "Re" in the car's name signifies Reborn (reviving the vibrant cars of the 80s), Respect (honor and admiration), and Remake (we recreate). This embodies a nostalgic proposal for those in their 50s and 60s who knew the Super Silhouette in real-time, and at the same time, a desire to convey the energy of motorsports from that era to younger generations who are unfamiliar with the legendary races.

The front bumper faithfully reproduces the giant front spoiler of the Super Silhouette, and the rear fenders adopt a square shape, boldly widening them. Normally, widening makes it difficult to open and close doors, but the students overcame this challenge by ensuring sufficient clearance with their technical skills. This allowed for smooth opening and closing, maintaining the car's inherent practical functionality. The position of the taillights was also changed in accordance with the fender widening.

For the interior, the students aimed to evoke nostalgia for those who remember the era and provide a taste of the atmosphere for younger generations, so they largely preserved the original design. The floor mats were custom-ordered with a patterned design that is subtle yet stylish, making the blue of the seats stand out, with attention paid even to the edge stitching.

The body color pays homage to the red and black of the Super Silhouette out of respect. By adding glitter to the red parts, the students added a unique essence that brings out a modern appeal amidst the flashiness.

We look forward to your visit.
