Fukuoka Aso College Group Renews KidZania Fukuoka "Vocational School" Pavilion Communication Class Content to "Table Manners"

Fukuoka's Aso College Group has long contributed to society through education, guided by our founding philosophy of "contributing to society through work." We share KidZania Fukuoka's commitment to "creating experiential opportunities that nurture the life skills of local children who will lead the next generation," and in July 2022, we opened Japan's first "Vocational School" pavilion, where children can experience classes in four different fields as students of a vocational school. Aligned with KidZania's concept of edutainment (education + entertainment), we provide an environment where children can challenge themselves with jobs they love and learn about how society works while having fun.

At the Vocational School pavilion, children can choose to experience classes from four themes: "Manufacturing," "Beauty," "Communication," and "Programming."

We have now renewed the content of the "Communication" class to "Table Manners," effective March 13, 2026. Children can experience a class on "Table Manners" that teaches them how to convey thoughtfulness to others through table service centered on "attentiveness, care, and consideration," as well as proper posture and behavior during a meal.

Comments from Aso College Group Faculty

In our "Table Manners" course, we aim to teach children through hands-on experience the importance of communication that considers others, alongside basic dining etiquette. We believe that mealtime is more than just a time for eating and drinking; it is a vital opportunity for people to connect their hearts.

Furthermore, in the "Table Service" segment, students learn the fundamentals of posture, behavior, and service, while deepening their understanding of the consideration required to provide others with a pleasant time by practicing "attentiveness, care, and consideration."

In addition, by experiencing both the roles of a guest and a service provider, we hope this will be an opportunity for students to grasp from multiple perspectives "what kind of actions lead to the other person's satisfaction and joy," and to realize the essence of compassion.

Through this experience, we hope that each child will learn to consider things from the perspective of others and express those feelings through natural actions, and that they will learn to cherish a heart of compassion in their daily lives as well.

The Aso College Group operates this pavilion with the hope that, through the experiences gained here, children will learn about the diversity, fun, and rewards of various professions, and that it will serve as a trigger for them to proactively choose their own career paths. Starting with the renewed "Communication" class, we continuously update the content of each pavilion according to the season and needs, ensuring that visitors can make new discoveries no matter how many times they come. The Aso College Group will continue to fulfill its mission as an educational institution while supporting activities that help children choose their futures.
