[SUKI-1 GRAND PRIX®︎] Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd. to Sponsor Esports Championship

Rissha Gakuen (Location: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as Rissha) has decided that Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd. (Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will sponsor the "Esports Championship" (hereinafter referred to as "this championship"), to be held this summer as part of the "SUKI-1 GRAND PRIX®︎" organized by Rissha Gakuen.

Background

With the securing of young engineers being a major challenge in the construction industry, Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd.'s promotion of unmanned construction and remote operation technologies is drawing attention as an advanced initiative that demonstrates new ways of working in the construction sector.

This championship is expected to attract a large number of junior high and high school students who possess advanced device operation skills and spatial recognition abilities on monitors.

These abilities have high affinity with remote construction technology, which involves operating heavy machinery via monitors. It is expected to be a prime example demonstrating the potential for individuals familiar with esports to play an active role in the construction industry in the future, leading to Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd.'s sponsorship.

SUKI-1 GRAND PRIX®︎ Esports Championship

The "SUKI-1 GRAND PRIX®︎," organized by Rissha as a project to support each individual's "likes," holds a wide variety of competitions such as "Singing," "Dancing," "Bodybuilding (Physique)," and "Railways," providing a platform to express one's "likes" and offering programs that allow participants to feel "I'm glad I continued what I love."

This championship will be held for the first time this summer.

This championship aims to widely recruit junior high and high school students from across the country, creating opportunities to aim to become professional esports players, gain "confidence" from continuing what they "like," and learn about future "professions" connected through esports.

On the day of the championship, Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd. will set up a booth within the venue to introduce their technology "Slope Saver," which aims to reduce labor and enable remote operation of slope protection work, through videos and display materials. They also plan to hold roundtable discussions and presentations to convey the appeal of the construction industry to junior high and high school students.

By receiving sponsorship from Nittoku Construction Co., Ltd., this championship will be prepared as an event that can contribute to the resolution of the labor shortage in the construction industry, along with the development of the esports industry.
