The "SUKI-1 GRAND PRIX" organized by Risshisha Educational Corporation (Location: Sumida-ku, Tokyo) has decided to hold the "Densha de GO!! Championship 2026" (hereinafter: this tournament). This second tournament, like the previous one, will hold qualifying rounds in six cities nationwide, with the final tournament scheduled for August 22 at the esports arena of Japan Railway & Sports Business College 21 (*1).
◼︎ Tournament Philosophy and Purpose
The purpose of this tournament is to provide an opportunity for children and students who will bear the future to pursue their pure interests and passions, fostering self-esteem and future dreams.
Recently, the number of school non-attendance children and students has been increasing nationwide, making it urgent to provide diverse learning experiences outside of school and opportunities to connect with society.
This tournament aims to create a mental refuge by respecting children's individuality and providing engaging experiences, while also helping to draw out their "will to live" and "motivation" for returning to school and achieving social independence.
Furthermore, we believe that securing the next generation of human resources is indispensable for the sustainable development of industries centered on transportation (including railways and buses), tourism, and IT.
By exposing children from an early age to local industries and specialized skills, and allowing them to accumulate successful experiences, this tournament also has an aspect of "career education" that makes them conscious of related industries, specific occupations, and companies as future career options.
Through this tournament, we aim to support the healthy growth of children, enhance the industrial vitality of related industries, and contribute to the realization of dreams of working in these fields.
