Musashino Art University (Location: Kodaira City, Tokyo / President: Yuwa Kabayama) will implement the "Value Creation Program" (hereinafter referred to as VCP), which aims to acquire "creative thinking skills" through art and design education and learn practical application in business, for the 2026 academic year, following last year. The 5th term has been decided.
As a certificate of completion program at Musashino Art University, a certificate of completion will be issued to those who complete the program.
In today's complex and unpredictable society, there is a strong demand for the ability to identify problems themselves and view them from new perspectives, going beyond conventional problem-solving frameworks. Musashino Art University's "VCP School (Value Creation Program)" is a practical program that fosters "creative thinking skills" that extend beyond the boundaries of art and design. This program, which began in November 2022 and has been well-received, will be offered again this year.
Based on the knowledge and achievements cultivated over 90 years of our university's plastic arts education, VCP School teaches multifaceted perspectives centered on observation, critical thinking, and conceptualization. Furthermore, it aims to foster individuals who can create value in an era of change by enhancing the ability to rebuild relationships with others and the practical skills to implement solutions in society.
This program is a PBL (Problem-Based Learning) curriculum based on the classes of the "Creative Leadership Course" in our university's Graduate School of Art and Design Studies. Through an intensive 10-day period, participants can acquire the perspectives and practical knowledge necessary for creating new businesses and approaching social issues.
Moreover, since the 2023 academic year, this program has been certified as a "Specified General Education and Training Course" by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. By meeting certain conditions and completing the prescribed procedures, up to 40% of the course fees can be subsidized by Hello Work.
Now is the time to acquire the ability to think creatively beyond existing frameworks and take a step towards forging your future.
