Syusei Construction Academia for High School Teachers to be Held on August 21, 2026

Syusei Construction College (Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka; Principal: Yoshiro Mimura) will hold an experiential public lecture, 'Syusei Construction Academia,' for high school and Japanese language school teachers at its campus on August 21, 2026 (Friday). This program aims to support the discovery of new themes for inquiry-based learning and the updating of career education through the lens of 'construction.' Applications will open on June 1, 2026 (Monday). In recent years, social attention toward the construction, civil engineering, and design fields has increased due to the enrichment of 'comprehensive inquiry time' in high school education and the perspective of SDGs and digital talent development. However, for many high school teachers, these industries are not familiar, and their utilization in career guidance and education is currently insufficient. This lecture aims to contribute to the improvement of teachers' classroom practice and career guidance by allowing them to understand the 'now' of the construction, civil engineering, landscaping, and design industries through hands-on experience.
