This event will feature a practical workshop using ventilators and a "pig's lung," which are actually used in medical settings. It is a special program where participants can experience the role and appeal of "clinical engineers," specialists who support team medicine alongside doctors and nurses.

In hospitals, not only doctors and nurses protect patients' lives. In increasingly advanced medical settings, "clinical engineers" who safely operate and manage life support devices such as ventilators are indispensable to team medicine.

Our school, leveraging its strength as a comprehensive medical and welfare academy with 10 departments, is focusing on "interprofessional education." This event is not only for experiencing the work of clinical engineers but can also be utilized as an opportunity for those interested in other departments (such as nursing or rehabilitation) to understand the "roles of other professions."

Participants will actually experience the settings and ventilation of a real ventilator. Furthermore, using an Ambu bag (manual resuscitator), air will be delivered to a "pig's lung," and the mechanism and changes as the lung inflates will be observed closely. Participants can acquire living knowledge that cannot be learned from textbooks.

Double participation is possible with the "Regular Open Campus" held on the same day in the morning (10:00-12:30), which includes school and department explanations. By combining open campuses for clinical engineering, nursing, physical therapy, etc., a wide range of medical professions can be compared and considered in one day.
