Globis University (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshito Hori; hereinafter "Globis University") celebrated its 20th anniversary on April 1, 2026. Commemorative Seminars Held Globis University is holding a series of commemorative seminars open to current students, alumni, and the general public to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The first seminar was held on March 26, 2026, featuring a panel discussion on the theme of "Skills and Mindset for 'Ultra-Evolution': The Evolution of Business Leaders in a Turbulent Era." Shinichiro Ide, who promotes corporate transformation at NEC, Kenichi Suzuki, Director of Globis AI Management Education Research Institute (GAiMERi), Satoshi Hirose, Dean of the Graduate School of Management (English Program) at Globis University, and Tomoko Kimishima, Dean of the Graduate School of Management (Japanese Program) at Globis University, took the stage. Discussions revolved around the leadership required in an era of technological evolution and diversifying values, and the significance of studying for an MBA. Globis University's 20-year journey has been built upon the accumulation of decisions made by each current student and alumnus who chose to take on challenges. And alongside those challenges, there were supporting presences such as friends, family, and faculty. This project will convey experiences and relationships born within the community, focusing on messages about challenges and gratitude from current students and alumni. Voices gathered through participant messages will be shared on official social media and websites. This initiative aims to broadly communicate the value based on the real experiences of current students and alumni, celebrate their challenges, and deliver gratitude to those who have supported them. 20th Anniversary Logo Design Competition Held A logo design competition for the anniversary was held for current students and alumni. The logo will be decided by vote from the submitted designs, and the chosen logo will be used as a symbolic mark for the 20th anniversary. The decided logo is planned to be widely used as a communication tool, such as SNS icons, Zoom backgrounds, and stickers, by all stakeholders including current students, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff. Through this project, we aim to enhance community unity as a participatory initiative to celebrate the anniversary together with current students and alumni. ■ History of Globis University (https://mba.globis.ac.jp/about/outline/history.html) 2003 ● Globis Original MBA Program GDBA launched Aiming for a socially recognized MBA not dependent on national accreditation, the Globis Original MBA Program GDBA (Graduate Diploma in Business Administration) was launched. Graduates were awarded a unique Globis diploma. 2006 ● Globis University established (Tokyo Campus, Osaka Campus) Established as Japan's first for-profit business school with a campus-based model. Tokyo and Osaka campuses opened, and 78 first-term students enrolled. 2008 ● Changed establishment entity from for-profit company to educational institution With the transition to an educational institution, research and development investment and regional expansion accelerated.
