Daiwa House Industry Signs Agreement with Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture on Disaster Support Cooperation

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City; President: Koji Otomo) signed the 'Agreement on Facility Provision Cooperation during Large-Scale Flood Disasters' and the 'Agreement on Temporary Facility Provision for Disaster Victims during Disasters' with Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture (Mayor: Takamasa Matsudo) on May 29, 2026.

1. Purpose of the Agreements

Daiwa House Industry has been signing 'Disaster Support Cooperation Agreements' with municipalities where its developed logistics facilities are located, to ensure the safety and security of nearby residents during disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rainfall. To date, the company has signed such agreements with 21 municipalities nationwide (covering 33 logistics facilities) (※1), and these facilities have been used in practice as temporary evacuation sites for residents.

This time, for its multi-tenant logistics facility (※2) 'DPL Matsudo' (4-story above ground, site area: 33,221.71㎡, total floor area: 72,896.00㎡), the company signed the 'Agreement on Facility Provision Cooperation during Large-Scale Flood Disasters' to smoothly conduct emergency measures during major flooding by providing common areas within the facility as temporary evacuation sites and temporary storage locations for relief supplies. Additionally, for 'DPL Matsudo II' (4-story above ground, site area: 29,172.99㎡, total floor area: 65,017.85㎡), the company signed the 'Agreement on Temporary Facility Provision for Disaster Victims during Disasters' to facilitate emergency response by providing part of the facility as temporary evacuation sites and temporary storage locations for relief supplies.

3. About the Logistics Facilities 'DPL Matsudo' and 'DPL Matsudo II' Providing Support

Daiwa House Industry has developed BTS-type (※3) and multi-tenant logistics facilities nationwide, completing 365 facilities with a total floor area of approximately 15.14 million㎡ (※4) to date. In Chiba Prefecture, the company has developed 13 logistics facilities, including 'DPL Chiba Rail Gate' and 'DPL Chiba Yotsukaido II', totaling approximately 1.665 million㎡ (※5) in floor area.

'DPL Matsudo' is located approximately 4.2 km from the 'Miyashiro-Minami Interchange' on the Tokyo Outer Ring Expressway and about a 7-minute walk from 'Kitamatsudo Station' on the JR Joban Line. 'DPL Matsudo II' is approximately 4.2 km from the 'Matsudo Interchange' on the Tokyo Outer Ring Expressway and about a 13-minute walk from 'Minoridai Station' on the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway. Both facilities offer excellent commuting convenience. Matsudo City is located within approximately 20 km of central Tokyo, with good access to National Route 6 and major arterial roads such as the Tokyo Outer Ring Expressway, making it an ideal location for distribution to central Tokyo and the broader Kanto region.
