Daiwa House Industry to Open "COTOE Hashimoto" on Friday, May 29 (News Release)

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Hirotsugu Otomo) will open the complex commercial facility "COTOE Hashimoto," which is under development in Midori-ku, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Our group launched the group-wide brand "Livness" in 2018 to strengthen our housing stock business, including buying and selling existing homes, purchasing and reselling, and renovation/remodeling. In 2024, we launched "BIZ Livness" to expand our real estate stock business in non-residential fields such as business facilities and commercial facilities. To date, we have purchased and revitalized over 300 commercial and business facilities for resale. Through the "Livness" and "BIZ Livness" businesses, we aim to promote the longevity of buildings through purchase and resale, and reduce the use of construction materials.

"COTOE Hashimoto," which will open this time, is a neighborhood shopping center (NSC) (4 stories, total floor area 41,697㎡) that revitalized and renovated a 20-year-old large commercial facility as part of "BIZ Livness."

This facility is located approximately 13 minutes on foot from "Hashimoto Station" on the JR Yokohama Line and Keio Sagamihara Line, close to National Route 16, and approximately 4 km from the "Sagamihara Interchange" on the Ken-O Expressway. Therefore, it is expected to be used not only by local residents but also by people from a wider area.

Under the concept of "Connect here. Connect from here.", to be conveniently used in daily life, it will feature a supermarket, an electronics retailer, and a furniture/interior store as anchor tenants, with drugstores and various specialty stores also scheduled to open.

We aim for the facility to be utilized and loved by the local community in preparation for its opening on May 29, 2026.

"COTOE Hashimoto" will feature the supermarket "Yaoko," the electronics retailer "Kojima x Bic Camera," and the furniture/interior store "Nitori" as anchor tenants, to be conveniently used in daily life.

In addition, various retail stores such as drugstores, 100-yen shops, and shoe shops, as well as clinics (*1), pharmacies (*1), beauty salons, gymnastics classes, and restaurants will open.

Furthermore, it will be a facility enjoyable for families, with an amusement facility (game center) and a kids' space.

"COTOE Hashimoto" is a neighborhood shopping center that revitalized and renovated a 20-year-old large commercial facility. By not demolishing the building, it suppresses CO2 and construction waste emissions, and reduces environmental impact by effectively utilizing usable construction resources. This also leads to reduced construction costs and addresses the shortage of skilled workers.

In addition, by introducing a solar power generation system, LED lighting, and high-efficiency air conditioning, it is expected to acquire "ZEB Oriented" (*3) certification under the Building Energy-efficiency Labeling System "BELS" (*2).

In 2019, Aihara High School, Kanagawa Prefectural, which was located in front of Hashimoto Station, relocated to Hashimotodai, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City, due to the construction of a new Linear Chuo Shinkansen station. The camphor tree planted at the time of its opening in 1923 grew into a large tree about 100 years old and was cherished as a local symbol, but it became difficult to preserve and was felled in 2025. Prior to felling, a "Camphor Tree 2nd Generation" grown from the seeds of the camphor tree will be transplanted to the northeast part of the "COTOE Hashimoto" site in cooperation with Aihara High School.

This "Camphor Tree 2nd Generation" will be the symbol tree of "COTOE Hashimoto," aiming to be a facility where "Connect here. Connect from here."
