Sakai City is seeking applicants for the Reiwa 8 (2026) fiscal year for its "Venture Procurement Certification System," which certifies excellent products and services from businesses within the city and supports their challenges in new fields.

Following certification, the business name and details of new products/services will be published on the city's website, and the city will strive to procure them through discretionary contracts for use within its departments*.

*This does not guarantee that the city will necessarily purchase the certified new products or services.

1. Eligible New Products/Services (must meet all of the following requirements)

1 Must have been on sale or available for service provision for less than 5 years at the time of application.

2 Must be significantly different from existing products or services and possess excellent utility value.

3 Must be a product or service with market potential.

4 Must be a product or service for which a use is anticipated within city agencies and for which there is little purchase history.

5 Must be a product or service that complies with relevant laws and regulations and does not pose problems related to rights such as patent rights.

*However, food, pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs and cosmetics, pesticides, and construction methods and technologies are excluded.

2. Eligible Applicants (businesses that meet all of the following requirements)

1 Must fall under Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Basic Act and have a business location within the city (or a residential address within the city for individuals).

2 Must not be delinquent in city taxes.

3 Must not be a member of a yakuza (organized crime group) as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the Sakai City Anti-Yakuza Ordinance, or a close associate of a yakuza as defined in Item 3 of the same article.

Ready to generate electricity just by pulling out the solar panels inside the container. It does not require fuel such as gasoline and is useful in situations where electricity is needed urgently, such as at construction sites or disaster sites.

Fabric Upcycled "Hanairoha® x Sakai Chuzen" Tsumami-zaiku Experience Service (Palette Japan)

A workshop to create small decorative accessories using fabric scraps generated during the production of "Naniwa Honzome (Chuzen)," a traditional industry of Sakai. Using a unique kit that does not require tweezers, participants can complete a flower accessory in 30 minutes. This experiential service can be widely utilized for environmental learning, cultural experiences, and tourism exchange.

Red Bean Paste for Dogs "Anchu-bu" (PRISM DESIGN LLC)

A snack made by filling dog-specific red bean paste into a tube-shaped package. It balances health and palatability with 5 flavors, considering the ingredients, and its tube-shaped retort packaging allows for long-term storage.
