[Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture] Disaster Prevention Seminar Held at Kita-Koshigaya Community Center

On June 20, a "Disaster Prevention Seminar: Protecting Lives and Livelihoods from Disasters - Learning from the Field" was held at the Kita-Koshigaya Community Center. The event was organized by the Kita-Koshigaya Women's Fire and Disaster Prevention Club. This club was newly established to develop the fire prevention club's activities following the dissolution of the Kita-Koshigaya Women's Association, which had been active for 50 years.

Fifty-two people, including local community association members, participated in the seminar and discussed disaster simulations in groups.

Misako Komazaki, the representative, stated, "Building community bonds by sharing information and coordinating in preparation for disasters is important," and "As a local women's organization, we want to pass the baton to the next generation."
