June 2, 2026 National University Corporation Okayama University https://www.okayama-u.ac.jp/ ◆ Overview On April 21-22, 2026, the 'FY2026 TC College Entrance Ceremony' and orientation were held at Tokyo Institute of Science (Ookayama Campus), and five new members from our university's Comprehensive Technical Division enrolled. Afterwards, they also participated in an operations tour of the university's Core Facility Center (CFC). At the entrance ceremony, Shingo Ebata, Head of TC College, and guests delivered congratulatory remarks. TC College is an educational program led by Tokyo Institute of Science aimed at training advanced technical professionals known as 'Technical Conductors (TC)'. Our university operates as a satellite school offering a medical engineering course, and this year a total of six people, including enrollees from other universities, are taking the course. During the CFC operations tour, the enrollees visited the educational support departments of Tokyo Institute of Science, received explanations about advanced equipment and operational systems, and appeared to be greatly inspired. Regarding this participation, Norihito Sato, Vice Executive Director, Vice President, Senior URA, and Head of the Comprehensive Technical Division at our university, stated his future outlook: 'Our university operates TC College as one means of advancing and specializing our technical staff. As one of the satellite schools, we take responsibility for strengthening the research foundation of our entire country and promoting the enhancement of technical staff human resources. Please look forward to the efforts and activities of the technical staff who enrolled this time.' In addition, Takehiro Matsubara, a Technical Specialist, expressed his aspirations: 'I want to utilize this opportunity to enhance my expertise and practical skills as an advanced technical professional required by the university.' Okayama University's Comprehensive Technical Division will continue to strategically strengthen and promote the advancement of technical staff by utilizing TC College and other resources.
