◆Overview

We have compiled data on patient reports and the medical care system published on the Okayama Prefecture website, with comments added by a group of expert volunteers from Okayama Prefecture. We plan to update this information once a week.

We have also created an easy-to-understand, one-page format based on Tokyo's "Analysis and Summary Comments on the Latest Monitoring Items." We hope this will be helpful for understanding the situation within the prefecture.

Although the WHO has declared an end to the COVID-19 pandemic and life has returned to normal in Japan, we continue to provide this information to help you understand the infection and medical system situation in Okayama Prefecture and to serve as a reference for infection prevention measures in your daily life. ◆Analysis of Infection Status and Medical Care System [As of Monday, May 11, 2026]

The number of COVID-19 reports per sentinel medical institution remains unchanged at 0.54. The situation is stable nationwide. Infection control measures according to the situation, and early diagnosis and early treatment for high-risk patients are necessary.

Seasonal influenza has decreased slightly from the previous week (0.80 reports per sentinel medical institution), but the advisory warning continues. Group A streptococcal pharyngitis is prevalent.
