◆Overview

　National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Yasutomo Nasu) held the 'Reiwa 7th Year Conferment Ceremony for Degrees and Certificates' on March 25, 2026, at the Okayama Prefectural Sports Park Gymnasium (Shigetoh Arena Okayama), celebrating the commencement of a total of 3,266 students, including undergraduates and graduate students.

　Following the national and university anthems, President Yasutomo Nasu conferred degrees and completion certificates upon 18 representatives from faculties and graduate schools.

　Subsequently, 15 recipients of the 'Okayama University Kuroshou Award,' given to students excelling in both academic performance and character, were honored, with certificates and commemorative gifts presented to representatives.

　In his commencement address, President Nasu introduced the concept of 'Fui Koryu' (eternal change and unchanging essence), emphasizing the importance of values to be cherished and the attitude of continuous challenge even in times of change. Drawing on phrases from 'Mencius' and other sources, he urged, 'Adversity and trials are the nourishment for growth, and whether the path you choose is the right one is determined by your own efforts,' and offered parting words: 'True 'learning' begins from here.'

　Ayaka Tominaga from the Faculty of Dentistry, representing the graduating students, and DING XUE from the Graduate School of Health Sciences, representing the completing students, delivered congratulatory speeches.

　Outside the venue, graduates were seen bidding farewell, taking commemorative photos with family and friends.

　Please continue to look forward to the activities of Okayama University, an open, regional core, and distinctive research university, and its graduates.
