◆ Overview

National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Yasuyuki Hibino) co-hosted “Entre Quest 2026 Okayama in Spring” with Armory Inc. on March 15, 2026, at the Co-creation Innovation Lab (KIBINOVE) on the Tsushima Campus. This is the second time the event has been held in Okayama, following last summer.

“Entre Quest” is an entrepreneurship education program that incorporates the world of RPGs (Role-Playing Games), characterized by allowing participants to experience the entire process of starting a business as a team. The program aims to foster the ability to communicate one's ideas to society, from idea generation to business model design, fundraising negotiations using virtual capital, and final pitches.

Approximately 40 participants, including junior and senior high school students and university fellows (instructors) from Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures, attended the event. The morning session included lectures by instructors and team building, followed by business idea development and virtual fundraising in the afternoon based on the formed teams. In the final presentations, each team showcased their meticulously crafted ideas from their unique perspectives.

The presentations featured a diverse range of concepts aimed at solving everyday problems, such as an app to make homework more engaging like a game, an information magazine for foreign tourists covering local festivals, a digital tool to improve sleep quality, and even a keychain to prevent nighttime traffic accidents. The presentations were delivered with such confidence that it was hard to believe they were developed in a short period, earning hearty applause from the audience.

Student participants shared feedback such as, “It was fun to collaborate with team members I just met to bring one idea to fruition,” “It was refreshing to see society from a business perspective,” and “I felt the excitement of my ideas potentially being useful to society, and I want to consider entrepreneurship as an option for my future.” They seemed to have truly experienced the joy of taking on challenges.

This initiative served as a practical platform for nurturing the creativity and collaboration skills required for the next generation. Okayama University will continue to actively create opportunities for young people to expand their potential by collaborating with the community and various organizations. We look forward to your continued support for the initiatives of Okayama University, a regional core and distinctive research university.
