ASOMANABO, a children's creative school operated by maruto LLC (Location: Shimouma, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Mai Osawa), will launch a new class, "maruto ○+ Art Mix Class," in July 2026 at creative studio maruto ○+ in Shimouma, Setagaya-ku.

The "maruto ○+ Art Mix Class" is a class designed to help children discover their own "likes" and "strengths" by experiencing various forms of expression each month, including art, crafts, video, and science art. Drawing, making things with their hands, expressing themselves through video, and experimenting like in science. Children's interests and individuality can gradually become apparent through hands-on experience.

For such parents and children, we planned the Art Mix Class as an entry point to experience various forms of expression, rather than deciding on one genre from the start.

ASOMANABO has offered a variety of creative classes for children, including art, science, handicrafts, performance, magic, inquiry-based learning, manga/illustration, and video classes.

During this time, we have received many comments from parents such as, "I want to find a class that suits my child," "I want to decide after trying various things," and "I want to nurture their passions."

The Art Mix Class, launching this time, is designed to respond to these voices, serving as both a first art experience and an entry point to further learning. Through monthly experiences, the Art Mix Class aims to discover children's budding interests. Each month, unique creators such as manga artists, designers, mural painters, and video directors will serve as instructors, engaging with expressions like art, crafts, video, and science art on different themes.

For example, some children may enjoy drawing, others may be engrossed in creating three-dimensional objects, some may be interested in video and digital expression, and others may be excited by experimental-style creation. Children's "likes" and "strengths" are not always clear from the beginning. Through a series of diverse experiences, they may encounter feelings like, "I want to do more of this," or "This might be fun." The Art Mix Class cherishes these small sparks of interest, creating time for children to discover their own forms of expression.

In the Art Mix Class, while instructors from various genres will be in charge of different themes, a manager instructor will connect the class as a whole and watch over the children throughout the year.

Even if the instructors or themes change, a safe and secure environment will be created by continuously understanding each child's interests and changes. It is not just a collection of one-off workshops, but an opportunity to gradually discover "likes" and "strengths" over the course of a year. This is the characteristic of the Art Mix Class.

Furthermore, if a child's interest deepens through experiencing various forms of expression in the Art Mix Class, such as wanting to draw more, try manga, create videos, or continue experiments and research, they can advance to ASOMANABO's specialized classes. Through various experiences, they find expressions that suit them, and then connect to more specialized learning if their interest grows.

The Art Mix Class is a first step to broaden the possibilities of children's expression.

Trial Lessons Also Accepted. Half-Price Trial for July and August. We are currently recruiting participants for trial lessons. During the trial lesson, children will experience the atmosphere of an actual class. While the children are in class, parents will receive an explanation of the class's objectives, content, and future plans from the manager instructor. As an opening campaign for July and August, the trial fee, normally 3,300 yen, will be halved to 1,650 yen.

This is a new monthly art experience class for such parents and children. Since it's once a month, we welcome students from afar.
