flowli LLC (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo) announces that at the 7th Academic Meeting of the Japan Society of Cosmetic Medicine held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Dr. Sawako Hibino, our advisory physician, gave a presentation titled 'The Potential of the New Ingredient Minexin®: A Study on Skin and Scalp Functions Based on Case Numbers' during a co-sponsored seminar chaired by Dr. Taro Kono (Professor and Chairman, Department of Plastic Surgery, Tokai University School of Medicine).

The theme of this academic meeting was 'The Pursuit of Ultimate Beauty', and experts from various fields gave multifaceted presentations on approaches from both the inner and outer aspects.

In this presentation, the composite ingredient 'Minexin®' was highlighted as a new approach to age-related changes in the skin and scalp, and the results of studies through basic evaluation and case observation were reported.

In recent years, it has been recognized that complex factors such as microbiome disturbances, declining barrier functions, chronic inflammation, and changes in microcirculation are involved in the background of skin and scalp troubles. Therefore, rather than dealing with a single ingredient, approaches targeting the entire environment are being prioritized.

◼️ About Minexin®

Image of Minexin®'s action on the skin

Minexin® is a composite design ingredient that combines microbiome-derived components (lactic acid, lipoteichoic acid), bio-minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, etc.), and plant-derived ingredients. It was developed to maintain the homeostasis of the skin and scalp environment.

◼️ Research and Study Content

In basic evaluations, the following trends were confirmed:

- Proliferation promotion tendency in keratinocytes and fibroblasts (approx. 70% or more)
- Increased expression of barrier-related genes (profilaggrin) (approx. 160%)
- Promotion of hyaluronic acid production
- Suppression tendency of inflammation-related factors (COX-2, PGE2, IL-6)

Additionally, in case observations, the following were suggested:

- Tendency to improve barrier function and moisturizing state in the skin area
- Reduction of inflammatory tendencies
- Tendency to improve hair density and hair diameter in the scalp area
- Tendency to reduce hair loss

These results suggest the possibility that Minexin® acts not as a single function but as a multifaceted approach that works on the entire environment of the skin and scalp.

Based on the findings obtained in this research, Minexin® is expected to be utilized as a new approach in the anti-aging field and cosmetic medicine in the future.

Furthermore, further studies regarding its affinity with the cell-free domain are planned to proceed.

◼️ Presenter's Comment

Dr. Sawako Hibino

'Skin and scalp troubles do not occur due to a single cause but due to a combination of multiple factors. In this presentation, we examined the potential of an approach that focuses on that "entire environment." We intend to continue further verification from a clinical perspective in the future.'
