Podcast Studio Chronicle to Launch Marubeni’s New Podcast “THE INSIGHT: Analyzing the Dynamics of the World” on May 15, 2026

Podcast production label Podcast Studio Chronicle announced that it will launch Marubeni Corporation’s new branded podcast, “THE INSIGHT: Analyzing the Dynamics of the World,” on audio platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Amazon Music from Friday, May 15, 2026. The program explains the underlying “dynamics” behind the constant flow of international news, drawing on Marubeni’s business perspective and expertise in international politics and economics. Researchers from the Marubeni Research Institute will analyze geopolitical risks and opportunities, providing intelligence for business leaders considering their next strategic move. The program is a branded podcast by Marubeni Corporation. It will be hosted by Kiara Shi Dana of Marubeni’s Stakeholder Engagement Department. The first episode will use the ongoing stalemate in the Iran war as an entry point to explore deeper structural changes in the global order. Takashi Imamura, president of the Marubeni Research Institute, and host Kiara Shi Dana will examine why the conflict, which began with airstrikes and the killing of Ayatollah Khamenei, became bogged down; the United States’ overconfidence following its intervention in Venezuela; Iran’s tightened governance structure; and the Strait of Hormuz as a strategic card that the world only recognized after Iran moved to close it. The episode will also take a broader view of the 80-year shift in the postwar, U.S.-led rules-based international order, asking why the United States, which built that order, is now moving to undermine it, and where the world may be headed next. “THE INSIGHT” will be released every other Friday and will feature researchers from the Marubeni Research Institute. The institute was established in August 2024 as a wholly owned think tank of Marubeni Corporation and provides intelligence and advisory services on geopolitical risks, economic security, and other contemporary management issues. Podcast Studio Chronicle, launched in January 2022, produces audio content mainly in business, economics, and liberal arts.
