Makes and Things LLC (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative: Rei Manabe) will host 'Makers Market 2026 - From Japan's Manufacturing Sites -,' an event gathering lifestyle brands that fuse the advanced technology and design of Japanese manufacturing and local factories, for one week from Wednesday, June 24, to Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the special venue on the 6th floor of the new building of Entetsu Department Store (Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture).

This event is an experiential pop-up featuring the latest products that local factories across Japan, including auto parts manufacturers supporting Hamamatsu, one of Japan's leading manufacturing cities, are challenging themselves to create beyond their core business. We will deliver the 'skills' and stories behind the manufacturing sites that are not usually seen, along with semi-order experiences at the store.

[Background and Concept]
'Factories are cool.' We want to deliver the high technology and stories behind them. Many manufacturing sites and local factories that support Japanese manufacturing are 'B to B' companies focusing on parts production, and opportunities to directly touch their excellent technology and the thoughts of craftsmen in our daily lives are limited. Under the theme of 'From Japan's Manufacturing Sites,' this event is a valuable opportunity to directly pick up products where technology and design are fused at a high level, from kitchenware to interior goods and fashion. 'Behind it, there is this skill.' We propose a new lifestyle that enriches daily life, not just by selling products, but by sharing the stories behind the manufacturing.
