Date: July 5, 2026 (Sun), Doors open 18:00 / Start 19:00. Venue: Shimokitazawa CLUB Que (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo).
Mamiyo Band will host their first solo concert at Shimokitazawa CLUB Que in Tokyo on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Vocalist and guitarist Mamiyo made her major debut 24 years ago with the theme song 'Riyu' for a TBS drama series. In March 2026, the band released their first album, 'Re:you,' featuring a re-recorded version of 'Riyu.' This concert marks a significant milestone for a singer who once considered giving up on music and the friends who continued to support her journey.
There Were Days When I Thought, 'I Can't Do Music Anymore'
After becoming a mother, Mamiyo felt she might not be able to continue her musical career. However, the song 'Chiisana Te' (Small Hands), created to commemorate her son's first birthday, became a turning point. She wanted to convey the emotions she felt after becoming a mother to her child and to others, leading her to realize that she could continue to sing regardless of her circumstances. A few years ago, she contemplated stepping away from the spotlight to focus on songwriting and production, but friends and fans told her, 'Mamiyo, your voice is one of a kind,' prompting her to return to the stage.
This Concert is Not the Goal
This first solo concert is not the destination but a key milestone for Mamiyo Band. It is also an 'Everyone's Solo Concert,' created together with the fans and friends who have supported them for two years. It will be a night that presents both the story so far and the story that is about to begin.
Comments from Mamiyo (Vo & Gt)
'There were times I thought about quitting music, but my friends and fans encouraged me every time. This concert isn't just for me or the members; it’s an 'everyone's solo concert' created with those who supported us. We will keep growing together. You never know unless you try. Nothing starts unless you take a step. So, we will keep challenging ourselves.'

'Riyu' Re-recorded after 24 Years and the Birth of 'Re:you'
The first album, 'Re:you,' released in March 2026, includes the re-recorded debut hit 'Riyu.' The title 'Re:you' reflects the meaning of 'meeting yourself once again.' The album is packed with the joy, conflict, and the determination of continuing to sing despite nearly giving up. It represents Mamiyo’s restart and a message to anyone who has considered abandoning their dreams.
A Story of Challenges Created with Friends
Many friends were involved in the birth of Mamiyo Band, inspired by speaker Yoshihito Kamogashira's Toyosu PIT concert. Drummer Yoshiyuki Murakami, who performed in Kamogashira's 'KAMOBAND,' shared the desire with Mamiyo to start a band. Murakami recently saw success with 'KAMOBAND' at the Nippon Budokan in May 2026.
Mamiyo Band currently consists of five members: Mamiyo (Vo & Gt), RamBaar (Rap & Vo), Tsukumo (Gt), Kyo-sei (Ba), and Yoshiyuki Murakami (Dr). Murakami, who also acts as the bandleader, is the representative of Kojiki Project Co., Ltd., which has raised approximately 12 million yen through four crowdfunding campaigns to support those taking on challenges.
