■ Background of the Agreement
In recent years, Vietnam has seen a rise in chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, which have become the leading cause of death, attributed to aging populations and changes in lifestyle. However, challenges such as overcrowding in large hospitals and increased readmissions persist due to the insufficient development of continuous post-discharge follow-up systems and home healthcare mechanisms.
Through an METI subsidy project starting in fiscal year 2025, our corporation has been leveraging its expertise in preventive and home healthcare, including its cloud-based nursing station "Kanseito Center" and the PHR system "eHomeCare" for sharing patient information measured at home with medical professionals. We have been working in cooperation with public hospitals and regional clinics in Vietnam to build local community healthcare collaboration systems.

■ About the Current Agreement
This agreement will enable us to deploy the systems we have built in collaboration with Thong Nhat Hospital, a key national hospital under the Vietnamese Ministry of Health. We will work on constructing a regional comprehensive care model that combines discharge support, remote monitoring, and home care. The goal is to reduce readmission rates and enhance the healthcare delivery system.
Specifically, Thong Nhat Hospital will serve as the core clinical institution, responsible for patient selection, inpatient treatment, discharge plan creation, post-discharge clinical follow-up, and program evaluation.
DOMED Clinic will act as the operational coordinator, responsible for liaison between the hospital team and the home care team, remote monitoring, home visits, data collection, and reporting on implementation outcomes.
Our corporation will provide specialized knowledge and practical experience regarding the transition of cardiovascular disease patients from hospital to home, as well as support human resource development and operational system establishment.
The signing ceremony, held on May 14, 2026, was attended by Dr. Le Dinh Thang, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital; Professor Pham Le Anh, President of the Vietnam Family Physician Association and Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy; Dai Yumino, Director of our corporation; and other stakeholders from each institution.
During the ceremony, Director Le Dinh Thang emphasized the importance of shifting medical care from "hospital-centric treatment to continuous health management," stating that post-discharge care plays a crucial role for cardiovascular disease patients, especially the elderly and those with chronic conditions.
Furthermore, expectations were expressed that this collaboration would lead to improved patient safety, reduced readmission risks, decreased medical costs, suppressed nosocomial infection risks, and alleviated mental burdens for patients, families, and healthcare professionals by implementing home care based on systematic and specialized knowledge under an appropriate monitoring system.
We view this agreement as the first step in applying the knowledge of regional comprehensive care and home healthcare cultivated in Japan to solve Vietnam's medical challenges. Moving forward, we will work with our local partners, including Thong Nhat Hospital, to connect patients from hospitals to the community and realize a regional healthcare system that provides continuous support after discharge.
