Booking Slots Expanded for Group Pediatric Dental Prevention Program 'Takenoko Channel' Due to Popular Demand [Takenoko Dental & Orthodontic Clinic (Soka, Saitama)]

The 'Takenoko Channel' is a pediatric school-style maintenance program launched this year.

This is a new initiative where maintenance, which was previously performed individually, is conducted in a group setting at designated times and days, similar to a school or after-school activity. *Prior reservation is required.

Due to popular demand from many parents, we added Tuesday slots starting in February, which have also become fully booked.

Therefore, we have decided to further expand the booking capacity and also begin offering slots on the highly requested Saturdays.

◆ Takenoko Channel Overview

Visit Interval: Once a month on a specific day of the week

Target Age: 1st to 6th-grade elementary school students

Duration: 60 minutes per session

Details: Toothbrushing instruction, plaque staining, tartar removal, oral development guidance, and dietary habit interviews

Fee: 1,100 yen (includes introductory toothbrush set) *Fee is per child

◆ Expanded Schedule

Starting July:

1st and 3rd Tuesdays: 16:00 course and 17:00 course

Starting August:

4th Saturday: 9:30 course and 11:00 course

Why not participate for your child's health?

Children will enjoy brushing their teeth together in a group with peers of the same age, learning about oral and overall health.

By learning how to hold and brush with a toothbrush, use dental floss, and master tongue, lip, and breathing positions for good alignment, children naturally establish correct oral care habits.

This also reduces the burden of toothbrushing follow-ups for parents.

In the six months since the program started, many children have learned the correct brushing method, and monthly missed spots have decreased.

We also apply fluoride to prevent cavities based on each child's needs.

Communication with parents is primarily handled through a communication notebook, so parents only need to drop off and pick up their children. When the dental hygienist performs cleaning, they check for cavities, gingivitis, or the need for sealants (preventive treatment) and note them in the notebook.

At the end of the year, we plan to provide an opportunity for parents to see their child's growth.

For parents concerned about their child's future teeth alignment or mouth breathing, we also offer individual teeth alignment and orthodontic consultations. Children aged 2 and older are eligible.
