Higashihiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture: Branding the People Who Shape the Region's Future — 10 Recipients Announced for the 2nd 'Hokko no Takumi' Certification! Certification Ceremony to Be Held on June 23 (Tue)

The Higashihiroshima Town Chamber of Commerce, the General Incorporated Association Higashihiroshima Town Tourism Association, and the General Incorporated Association Higashihiroshima Town Community Development Company Hanayell are implementing the 'Hokko no Takumi' certification program, which recognizes individuals with outstanding skills and knowledge in Higashihiroshima Town as regional brands.

We are pleased to announce that 10 new recipients have been selected for the 2025 fiscal year, and the '2nd Certification Ceremony' will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2025.

■ What is the Higashihiroshima Town Brand Certification 'Hokko no Takumi'?

Higashihiroshima Town is blessed with rich nature, history, and culture, fostering exceptional skills and knowledge refined over many years. 'Hokko no Takumi' is a program that certifies 'people' and 'enterprises' who support regional development and challenge the creation of new value, widely promoting their appeal both within and beyond the town.
Through this program, we aim to support skill succession and new challenges, revitalizing local industries and enhancing the unique brand value of Higashihiroshima Town.

【Certification Categories】

Hokkoshu (Hokko-shu): Individuals, companies, and organizations with outstanding skills and knowledge who contribute to regional development and succession.

Hokkoshu (Sui) (Hokko-shu Sui): Recipients within the 'Hokkoshu' category who have received particularly high evaluations, recognized for their exceptional technical skills, uniqueness, and outreach capabilities.

※ This year's selections were made through rigorous document and in-person reviews by a panel of judges, including experts, based on recommendations and applications.
※ Certification Period: 3 years (2025–2027)
