Maeda Road Announced as Special Sponsor of the Fuji Women's Ekiden

Accordingly, the event will be broadcast live nationwide on the Fuji TV network under the title "Maeda Road Sports Special: Fuji Women's Ekiden 2026."

Through its sponsorship of this event, the Company will support the strong and resilient challenges of female athletes, while contributing to the promotion of sports such as ekiden and regional revitalization.

The Fuji Women's Ekiden is held annually on December 30 in Fuji City and Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is considered one of the two premier women's ekiden races alongside the "All-Japan Intercollegiate Women's Ekiden" held in October.

This championship, which covers 43.4 km over seven stages starting from the front of Fujisan Hongū Sengen Taisha Shrine, is a significant stage where female student runners compete to culminate their year's efforts. A true battle to determine the best in Japan, it has become a well-established year-end tradition marking the conclusion of the university women's ekiden season.
