KEL to Exhibit at the 38th Manufacturing World Tokyo

Kanematsu Electronics Ltd. (President: Ryō Watanabe, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter KEL) will exhibit at the 38th Manufacturing World Tokyo, held from July 1st (Wed) to July 3rd (Fri), 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight.

The company will set up a booth (West Hall 1, W4-6) at the 'Manufacturing Cybersecurity Exhibition' to showcase products and services that support manufacturing DX and factory security measures, along with mini-sessions and live demonstrations.

In light of recent large-scale cyber attacks, the necessity of security measures has become increasingly important. KEL will introduce the concept and priority of factory security measures, as well as specific examples of promotion. Please visit our booth.

【Background of Participation】
The promotion of DX in the manufacturing industry brings innovation to the manufacturing site but also creates new security risks as it shifts from a closed environment not connected to the internet to an IT environment. Recently, there have been numerous cases of large-scale cyber attacks, and security measures are now recognized as a management issue that can lead to business suspension, leakage of important information, financial losses, and damage to social credibility, rather than just an IT department issue.

In this situation, the international standard 'IEC 62443' (*1) has been established, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has published guidelines for factory security. Various industry guidelines such as SEMI Security Standards and JMA/JEMA have also been established. In addition, the operation of the SCS evaluation system (*2) is planned in the future, making security measures an urgent issue.

The KEL Group will leverage its extensive experience and know-how in network security for the manufacturing industry to provide information on factory security that takes into account the characteristics of both OT and IT. Following last year's participation, the company has decided to exhibit at the 'Manufacturing World Tokyo' this year as well.

*1: An international standard for the security of industrial control systems (ICS) established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It provides guidelines for evaluating ICS security risks and implementing appropriate security measures.
*2: A new system for evaluating and visualizing the implementation status of information security measures in corporate transactions (supply chain) through objective grading, led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

【What is Manufacturing World?】

Manufacturing World is Japan's largest manufacturing exhibition. Held four times a year in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, it features companies from around the world dealing with IT, DX products, parts, equipment, devices, and measurement products.
