The International Traffic Safety Society (Location: 6F, YANMAR TOKYO, 2-1-1 Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) published its academic journal, "IATSS Review," on June 30, 2026. This journal, published three times a year, features the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, which has garnered significant attention, in its first issue of the fiscal year. Experts and stakeholders who were deeply involved from the conceptual stage to social implementation of the Expo have written from their respective perspectives on urban planning, economic ripple effects, regional revitalization, disaster prevention planning, and the present and future of traffic society.

About the International Traffic Safety Society

Founded in 1974 after retiring as president and vice president, by Honda founder Soichiro Honda and Takeo Fujisawa, with the aim of addressing and solving traffic problems deeply and broadly for society as a whole, not just within one company.

As an interdisciplinary research institution in the field of transportation originating in Japan, it began its activities with a diverse membership including researchers in traffic and safety engineering, psychology, education, communication engineering, economics, cultural anthropology, and journalists. Under free and open discussion, it commenced research and investigations on the theme of the role of automobiles in society, and the present and future of traffic society, and continues its activities to this day.
