Anzai creates works depicting machines moving autonomously, composed of plastic daily necessities, while whimsically reflecting on the relationship between humans and plastic. Recently, he has focused on microplastics, developing research and 3D works. Major solo exhibitions include 'Aperto 12 Anzai Tsuyoshi: Poly-' (2020, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa) and 'Grounded' (2021, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Germany).
