The "RIKUJO Fan Club," operated by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF), has launched a new video content project. This project goes beyond match performances to document the daily lives of athletes. By focusing on their attitudes toward training, unique theories, routines, and the "inquisitiveness" and "dedication" that drive them, the series showcases their human charm beyond just being competitors. The first series features athletes aiming for the top at the 110th Japan Athletics Championships and a spot on the Japan national team for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. The first installment featured long jumper Sumire Hata (Sumitomo Electric), and the second installment features discus thrower Masateru Yugami (Toyota Motor). Additionally, a giveaway campaign for signed goods is available for paid members. The third installment will feature Ryota Yamagata (Seiko), and the club plans to release more videos of athletes, including those already selected for the Asian Games.
