Japan Roster Announced for PSG Handball Japan Tour 2026 Match on Aug 5

The Japan Handball Association (JHA) announced the 19-member Next Japan men's national team roster for the PSG Handball Japan Tour 2026. The match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), a top-tier European handball club from France, will take place on August 5, 2026, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Next Japan is a development category established last year to cultivate young talent for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and future international competitions. The selected roster features 19 elite players, including Naoki Fujisaka (Daido Steel Phenix TOKAI), who has experience in the Olympics and World Championships.

Under the leadership of head coach Toni Gerona, who also leads the senior men's national team 'Susei Japan', the squad will conduct its first training camp from July 30 to August 6, 2026. The tour is organized by the PSG Handball Japan Tour 2026 Executive Committee. The tour also includes a match between PSG and Zeekstar Tokyo on August 4, 2026.
