Call for Applications: 6th Morishita Yasushi Memorial Prize Recognizing Researchers in Medical-Engineering Convergence

The Terumo Foundation for Life Sciences (Location: Nakai-machi, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa; Chairperson: Toshiaki Takagi) has initiated the 6th call for applications for the 'Morishita Yasushi Memorial Prize' as of June 1, 2026.

Established in 2021, the award targets researchers creating innovative achievements through the convergence of medicine and engineering. This field is crucial for advancing medical technology, diagnostics, and treatments. Through this prize, the foundation aims to contribute to further research progress and promote the participation of excellent researchers.

Starting this year, the prize money has been increased to 30 million yen to further boost the development of this field.

Eligibility: Researchers affiliated with Japanese research institutions (excluding private companies) who have achieved significant results in the field of medical-engineering convergence and are expected to have a promising future.
