International NGO CARE International Japan Launches Recruitment for Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2026 Charity Donations and Charity Runners

CARE International Japan (Chairman: Shuichiro Megata, Office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo), a public interest incorporated foundation engaged in humanitarian aid activities focused on 'women and girls,' announced on the 15th the start of recruitment for donations and 30 charity runners for the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2026 Charity. This initiative is part of the Tokyo Marathon Foundation's Charity RUN with HEART, for which CARE International Japan is a beneficiary organization.

This charity offers an opportunity to contribute to society through running, allowing anyone to participate as a 'running supporter.' CARE International Japan states that, together with charity runners and supporters, they will take a step towards a future free from poverty. They are calling for participation in 'running international cooperation' as charity runners for this valuable event, which runs through the streets of Tokyo and finishes at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium).

Donations collected through this charity will be used for CARE International Japan's activities, which aim to reduce poverty by supporting the empowerment of women and girls in difficult situations in conflict zones such as Ukraine and in developing countries.

I am 78 years old this year, and every year I run the Tokyo Marathon Charity and the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon Charity as a CARE charity runner. I feel great significance in the fact that running leads to supporting people in difficult situations around the world.
