Chagori Key Visual

The 'Chagori Project' (cha-gori shaved ice) run by the Suruga Kikaku Kanko Kyoku (Shizuoka City), a public interest foundation working on tourism development in central Shizuoka Prefecture, will start on July 1, 2026!

This year marks the 9th edition, with 6 new stores joining, bringing the total to 65 participating stores mainly in the central area! Tea farmers, tea merchants, and popular local cafes offer creatively designed, photogenic 'Chagori' shaved ice dishes.

Full Renewal to Better Convey the Appeal of Shizuoka Tea

'Chagori' has become a summer tradition in Shizuoka.

In recent years, an increasing number of customers from outside the prefecture visit Shizuoka to enjoy 'Chagori'. To make the appeal of Shizuoka tea more accessible and understandable, the logo, key visual, and official website have been completely renewed this year. We will convey the charm of Shizuoka tea with a new look.

Main Renewal Contents

▶ Logo Design Renewal

The long-familiar 'Chagori' logo has been redesigned to be more readable and friendly while preserving its cherished image.

▶ Key Visual

A new visual has been created to express the diverse flavors of Shizuoka tea and the appeal of cool shaved ice, matching the new logo's world.

▶ Chagori Flag Renewal

The design of the 'Chagori flag' displayed at participating stores has also been refreshed, making it easier to spot and inviting people to stop by.

▶ Official Website Renewal

The website has been completely overhauled to be more user-friendly and convey the charm of Chagori. New features include a top page gallery of Chagori photos, detailed store pages, enhanced search and access information, making it easier to find your favorite store.

New Logo Design Chagori Flag as a Guide

Come to Shizuoka for Chagori. The appeal of Shizuoka tea spreads beyond the prefecture.

In last year's purchaser survey, about 20% (18%) of respondents were from outside the prefecture. This shows that Shizuoka's 'Chagori' is widely enjoyed by people from other areas.

Furthermore, 98% of respondents answered that their awareness of Shizuoka as a tea-friendly tourist destination increased after eating Chagori. This indicates that Chagori contributes not only to a gourmet experience but also to improving Shizuoka's image and regional branding.
