The Kansai Global Health (KGH) Gathering (organized by the Japan WHO Association) will hold an online seminar on June 30, 2026 (Tue), titled 'Creating an Inclusive Society: Protecting the Lives and Health of Foreign-Rooted People Who Are Not Proficient in Japanese (Part 2)'.

Speakers include Ms. Midori Takeno, Executive Director of the citizen's group 'NPO CHARM', which supports HIV-positive individuals and non-Japanese speakers, and Dr. Tomonori Shirano, Head of the Dept. of Infectious Diseases at the Osaka City General Medical Center. They will discuss the growing medical access problems faced by foreign-rooted individuals due to the recent rapid increase in foreign residents, and expectations for healthcare workers.
