Hyogo Block Council: Over 20 Regional Clubs Gather! Festival to be Held in Sanda on May 23

The Junior Chamber International Kinki District Hyogo Block Council (President: Takashi Nakajima, Location: 43 Shimodera-cho, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture) will hold the 'Sanda Regional Club Festival' on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Komagaya Sports Park Gymnasium in Sanda City. Over 20 regional clubs from the city will jointly conduct activity introductions and trial sessions.

[Background: Making the Transition of Club Activities a Personal Matter]
Currently, there is a nationwide initiative to transition junior high school extracurricular club activities to regional clubs and organizations. However, there is a challenge in that the overall picture of the regional activities taking over is difficult to see. Through this project, we aim to visualize the diverse regional clubs in Sanda City and create a space where children can directly experience them, thereby providing opportunities for new learning and social interaction outside of school.

[Highlights of the Event]
1. Regional Club Booths (Over 20 organizations): Various clubs from Sanda City will set up booths. Attendees can directly ask about activities and experience them.
2. Performance Stage: Clubs will showcase the results of their daily practices on stage, allowing visitors to feel the enthusiasm of the activities.
3. Experience Area: Participants can actually try out sports and activities in a wide space to find the one that suits them best.
4. Fun Content: There will be a stamp rally and food trucks, making it a full day of enjoyment for the whole family.

■ What is the Junior Chamber (Kinki District Council)?
The Junior Chamber (abbreviated as 'JC') was built in 1949 by youths sharing the aspiration that 'the reconstruction of a new Japan is the work of youth,' amidst the deep scars of war left on cities and people's hearts.
Since then, the Junior Chamber has carried out various activities and movements under the philosophy of 'realizing a bright and affluent society.' It consists of members who joined of their own free will, regardless of race, nationality, gender, occupation, or religion. The Junior Chamber of Japan places the foundation of its activities on 'individual training,' 'service to society,' and 'friendship with the world.' While fostering mutual enlightenment and interaction among members and cultivating a public spirit, the organization actively tackles social issues to contribute to the development of society in collaboration with local communities. The fields of activity experienced through various practical training in the Junior Chamber are broad, and including graduates who have reached the age of 40, it has produced many human resources not only serving as local leaders but also in political and business circles.
The Junior Chamber International Kinki District Hyogo Block Council covers 2 prefectures and 4 prefectures in the Kinki area. It functions as a liaison and coordination body to ensure the smooth operation of local Junior Chambers while rolling out various movements within the Kinki region.
